While people often describe it as “oceanfront camping,” it’s worth knowing that only a handful of sites have fully open ocean views. Even without a direct view from every campsite, the sound of the waves, salty breeze, and easy access to the shoreline still make this place feel incredibly connected to the ocean.

The oceanfront loop is what made Gamble Rogers famous. Campsites sit directly across from the dunes with easy beach access just steps away. Early mornings here feel almost unreal—especially when the beach is quiet and the sky starts turning pink before sunrise.

Things to Know Before Booking
This side is beautiful, but it comes with trade-offs:

For smaller RVs, vans, and solo travelers, the ocean side feels immersive and special. But if you have a larger setup, the river side may be the better option
The Riverside (Intracoastal) Side
The river side feels calmer, quieter, and more relaxed overall. While it doesn’t have direct ocean views, it offers something equally memorable: sunsets over the Intracoastal Waterway and some of the best full moon views I’ve ever experienced while camping.
